In my love of footwear one of the the things I have noticed is that while we , the women are the ones teetering around in them a lot of the big names of the luxury footwear scene are males, from Blahnik, Louboutin, to Kirwood , Hinfray ect .Therefore women footwear designers have always had a special place in my heart like Charlotte Olympia, Atalanta Weller , Camilla Skovegaard , Omelle and now Kerrie Luft.

Based in London, Kerrie Luft designs shoes with an emphasis on novelty of materials and construction .Inspired by Art Nouveau she creates shoes that are so beautifully made that I could honestly put on my coffee table as art. Take a closer look at her stunning creations on the next page. Spotted on dazed.

BOOJI Francisco “Grapevine” Sneaker

Previously known for her contributions to the brand JB Classics, M.Dot and her female line of footwear titled BOOJI will make an appearence later this year as we preview the Francisco style. The low-profile sneaker features a quilted upper in a purple and yellow colorway. The shoes are also produced with cruelty-free products with strong Vegan Cali undertones to the brand’s philosophy.

Closer look at the Momo x Y-3 Hayworths - DOPE!

New York-based artist Momo has created a special collection of footwear with the adidas collaborative collection with Yohji Yamamoto, Y-3. Based on the Hayworth Mid II, the shoe offers plenty of creative real estate with three different styles featuring the iconic and colorful styles of Momo. The shoes are rumoured to be limited to 350 pairs worldwide with a suggested retail price of $320 USD. The shoes will be available in September in Asia, October 1st in Europe and in the beginning of October in the US.

The boys over at Selectism share a look into Giuliano Fujiwara’s Spring/Summer 2010 lineup. “If this were boxing, this post would be the main event. The term blog love was practically invented for Fujiwara’s footwear and, judging from the selection here, the love fest looks set to continue. If you’ve seen the runway shows, then you’ll know what to expect; cut out high tops, oversized straps and copious amounts of suede. We won’t torture you with an overlong blurb – just take that leap for some good shoe porn.”

Behnaz Kanani - A designer for the bold!

Kanani is one of those designers who actually knows how to craft a well made shoe. From the sketch to the attaching of the heel the details never get lost in her shoes. Nary a stitch is out of place and her marine fossil signature that's affixed to the heel counter lets you know that the shoes are authentically hers. I'm in love with the shapes and lines, the mixing of patent leather with croc and the colour contrasting — it's the stuff that good shoe design is made of.

Timberland Debuts Premium Women’s Collection!

As macho as Timberland is, over the years, it’s done its fair share of things for us ladies. Besides the fact that plenty of us did our own version of machista cool in a pair of six-inch wheats, who could forget the winter of Timberland-inspired Manolo Blahniks, which first caught fire when they were spotted on the feet of BX fave, Jennifer Lopez? (and which Timbs eventually made their own version of.)

This collection, however, is a lil’ more refined and is clearly trying to take things next level for all us grown Timbs lovers. Known as the “Depression Era Chic” collection, it was inspired by the “post-industrial working woman.” The styles featured here are known as “Marge,” inspired by fashionable females working hard for the money in cities worldwide. They launch in the fall and two of the stores where you can purchase them are Shoe Biz in SF and Soula in BK. You may also purchase them at Timberland (where you can also check out some neat riding boots).
