Air Yeezy’s vs. Air Neezy’s - That is the question! - Gets the facts str8 before you buy!

As all of you kiddies in Sneakerville already know, the beloved Nike Air Yeezy is finally making it’s debut - today! After months, hours, minutes, and seconds of patiently waiting on a release date, you can finally move to the next phase of the game - figuring out how you are going to cop these joints!

The first release will be the Zen Grey Colorway, and are retailing for $215. Nike will then be releasing five more colorways, over the next four months. Each release will be limited to only 1,000 pairs nationwide- leaving a lot of ya’ll to wonder if you should cop them on E-bay and forego paying your rent or take your chances on ordering some $65 ‘Ye Neezy’s’ from some random website that’s also selling Jordan’s for $69.99.

There is no doubt that these shoes are going to be extremely challenging to get. In fact, if you are reading this article right now chances are you are not going to get your pair today. (Yah, I said it!) Much like anything else worth having in life, these kicks are not going to be easy to get…you’re gonna have to work for them. But all in all, in the end - it will be more than worth it. Let’s take a look at the advantages and disadvantages between buying some knock offs and patiently waiting to cop some officialness.

Knock off Advantage - Easy access. You can get some ‘Yeezy knock offs‘ (officially dubbed by me as Neezy’s) any and everywhere these days. In fact they have been selling them online for a few months now from as low as $49.99. If you live in an urban area, you can probably go downtown and find someone selling them on the corner next to some fake Louis Vuitton purses. Don’t sleep though - he’s asking $80.00 for ‘em!

Knock off Disadvantage - Have you seen a close up of these things? I was on a couple of those knock off sites and was really saddened and disturbed by what I was witnessing. Not only are folks somewhere in the far East concocting random colorway combinations that don’t even exist, they are also showcasing super low quality craftsmanship. I’ve noticed a few of the sites showcasing close up pictures where you can actually see the color bleed un-evenly distributed on the shoe and the glue poking out of the side of the sole. And that is the picture you use to try to sell those to me? Ummm…shall we say, not a good look?

Knock off Advantage - As mentioned earlier, these kicks are gonna be pretty hard to get. With only 1,000 being released per colorway, chances are none of your friends are gonna have them. So of course in creeps in the desired envy factor. You figure if you get a pair of these knock offs no one will really know that they are, because no one else will have them. Additionally because you will be the only one in your clique with them, you figure you will stunt on ‘em a little something and make them all envious.

Knock off Disadvantage - True indeed that your boys may not get them with this go round, but chances are they’ve been checking out this site and other sites to get updates on what these joints look like. That factor in combination with the fact that sneakerheads recognize fakes from a long distance away, will garner the polar opposite effect of what you are looking for. Instead of commanding envy and admiration from your boys, you will instead become a joke because they will be no doubt be talking mad junk about you and your fugazi sneakers.

Knock off Advantage - You can probably wear your Neezy’s to the club and everyone will be impressed. True indeed when you are inside of the club with the proper smoke, mirrors, and if it is really, really dark people MAY think that your Neezy’s are in fact real. Notice I said may.

Knockoff Disadvantage - When you pull up to the club with your Neezy’s, head to toe “Gucci’ warm up suit, your diamond encrusted chain, and then hop out of your Ford Escort on 20’s - eh hem…one or two folks may grab a clue as to the reality of the situation at hand. Long story short, much like crack - fake is wack! ‘Nuff Said.

So what are you waiting for? Go get your butt in line! And I want you to post your pics once you get ‘em!
