10650 Square Feet Home With Cool Terrace And Intimate Garden Of Palm Trees

This gorgeous 10650 square feet house is located on a 17250 square feet lot near the Sierra Madre mountains. It’s clad in brown/black volcanic stone, IPE wood, white stucco and steel. There is quite a big pool near by and a terrace above it. They both are protected from sun and neighbors with two massive oak trees. There is also a cool intimate garden of palm trees that could be viewed as from living room as from dining and family areas. The site’s topography wasn’t ideal so there are a lot of subtle level changes between rooms that only add interest to the interior design. Private areas of the house also have access to a garden but to the second one. [GLR Architects | Photography by Jorge Taboada ]

Andrei’s 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT is defnitely a head turner.  Exclusive Canibeat photographer, Marcus Cooke is very familiar with Andrei’s G35, as he has seen it posted up on G35driver.com and has come to know Andrei (eurodre on Stanceworks) on various forums.   Marcus was very impressed when he saw Andrei’s car for the first time in person at Left Coast Low in Santa Barbara this past December.  Its hard to miss his clean black G, sittin’ low on very proper fitting 20″ Work Varianza T1S.

The "Funny Guy" and how he stacks up 101.

Sense of humor tops almost every woman's list of qualities they're looking for in a potential boyfriend. (Interesting when you consider that most girls really aren't all that funny, but such are the mysteries of the gender.) Aside from making every girl's dream-man wish list, the power of a great sense of humor in a guy is often explored in popular movies and television shows today. Judd Apatow flicks, for instance, usually feature a not-so-attractive male paired with an absolutely stunning woman and it almost never seems strange because the not-so-attractive male in question is hilarious. However, how much can your bottomless well of funnies really make up for, you ask? We’re here to ref the funny factor showdowns.
Funny vs. Looks
There is not a man or woman alive not guilty of cracking their neck trying to scope out some hot eye candy. It's a biological instinct -- no need to beat yourself up over it. However, the beauty of evolution (besides our awesome opposable thumbs) is that we are able to choose our mates based on more than just physical desires. This is where that "but he/she has such a great personality" statement rolls in. Good news guys: Women actually mean it when they say it! A great personality can more than make up for a less-than-model-like appearance, and a sense of humor is the cornerstone of a great personality to an overwhelming majority of women.

Winner: Funny. Hanging out with the local boring Adonis might be fun for the night, but it's the average-looking jokester who can hook the ladies for much longer.
Funny vs. Ambition

Although having a great sense of humor can provide a major distraction from some other less-than-stellar characteristics, it can only do so much. You could rival George Carlin (we know he's dead, but you get our point) for laughs, but if you have no desire to do anything else in life but spend your days lying on the couch with Captain Crunch and Bob Barker, there’s nothing that will stop a girl from running far, far away from your black hole of apathy, sugary cereals and morning game show addiction.

Winner: Ambition. The ability to crack jokes doesn’t erase the need for your girl to imagine a life with you -- and a life without work and goals is not going to be a life she wants any part of.
Funny vs. Wealth
Let’s keep it real here: There will always be women who sniff out the dollar signs in any romantic relationship they pursue. However, there are still masses of independent women out there who couldn't care less about the size of your wallet or the limits on your credit cards. The ability to make a woman laugh, for richer or poorer, in good times and in bad (and even when she feels like beating the crap out of you) is a gift that’s worth way more than anything a rich suitor might try to buy her happiness with. Unless you’re Bruce Wayne -- you can’t beat rich, charming and being a superhero. There’s a reason he gets all the hotties.

Winner: Funny. Four guys from England once told the world that money couldn’t buy them love, but a steady stream of hysterical jokes would have definitely helped pay the tolls.
Funny vs. Intelligence

Men and women don’t always agree on the type of humor that splits their sides. For most people though, intelligence is very much intertwined with comedy, especially for women who might appreciate Ricky Gervais over Abbot and Costello. There’s no need to break out the brain surgery and rocket science textbooks, but truly making her chuckle often takes more than a lame fart joke.

Winner: Tie. Intelligence wins her respect and humor wins her heart -- can't have one without the other.
FUNNY FORTUNES IN LOVE

Victor Borge (points if you've actually heard of him) once said: "Laughter is the shortest distance between two people." If your friends claim that you're the funniest person they know, you're already well on your way to becoming quite the ladies' man. Women were, are and always will be attracted to a charismatic man with a sense of humor. If you've got it, flaunt it! It can overcome many other seemingly less desirable qualities you think you might have. Also, it's a great technique for weeding out the kind of girl you want because, really, who wants a chick who can't appreciate a good "that's what she said" joke? (Note: We never touched on funny vs. maturity -- go for it.)

AM Rule Refresher: The Courting Phase 101.

Aight I have a few meetings today, but I wanted to post this until I get back.  Seeing as DV-Day is over, I'm sure most of you are starting to "Feel out" your new found ladies.  Well, this is a short guide not to BLOW it!  Plus some things to consider......Enjoy

Making the transition from “just dating” to exclusive relationship is like navigating a minefield. More specifically, it’s like navigating an invisible minefield, covered in concertina wire and swarming with poisonous cobras (also invisible). In other words, advancing through the courting phase is hard, and there are innumerable opportunities for the whole thing to blow up in your face. However, with a little effort, and some help from this AM Rule Refresher, you can sail through the courting phase with ease. Using The Guy’s Guide to Romance as your torch to light your path, you'll be able to determine if the woman you’re dating is really your dream girl and we’ll show you how to transition from casual dating to a committed relationship.

So, if you want to make your dating life a whole lot easier, take a look at the AM Rule Refresher: Sail Through The Courting Phase.

Make sure she’s girlfriend material

Before making the leap from promiscuity to exclusivity, you need to determine if the girl you’re seeing is really girlfriend material. As you might expect, the qualities that make a girl a good playmate or bedfellow are not necessarily the same qualities that make her a good girlfriend. So before making a commitment, ask yourself if you trust her? Can you tell her secrets? Do you feel comfortable when she goes out with the girls or socializes with the opposite sex? Does she get along with your friends and family? If you answered “yes” to all of those questions, you might be ready to sail through the courting phase.

Make sure you’re boyfriend material

Now, before you can sail through the courting phase, you need to be certain you’re up to the task too, Bucko. Don’t enter into a relationship because you think it’s going to be “easier” than trying to pickup every weekend. Women want their men to be unpredictable, which means you’re going to have to put some effort into being spontaneous. You have to be ready to listen to her complain about bad days at work and fights with her mom. You’re expected to notice when she gets a haircut or buys a new dress. If all of this sounds like way too much work, do not pass “GO” do not collect $200. You’re better suited to playing the field.

Red flags

Before entering into a committed relationship, make sure to look long and hard for red flags. Red flags are the little warning signs, the clues that tell you when something about a woman just isn’t right.

For example, if she has no life of her own, or if she suggests that finding a man and getting married is her primary goal in life, you could be dealing with the kind of woman who is going to be aggressively clingy and in constant need of attention. Does she pick fights in public or snoop around your apartment? Take heed, friend, because she could be crazy. And if she’s the kind of girl who can’t be ready to go anywhere in less than two hours, you’ve got a high-maintenance female on your hands. Back away slowly and do not make direct eye contact.

Pass her tests

Keep in mind that before you sail through the courting phase, you’re going to have to pass a battery of boyfriend tests. Keep in mind, she’s evaluating you too. For instance, when many women choose a boyfriend, they take a man’s potential as a husband and father into account. We know it seems like jumping the gun, but a lot of women aren’t going to waste their time if they can’t at least envision a future with you.

Don’t worry though; all you have to do to pass her “family test” is show her you’re not oblivious or hostile to familial relations. Just remember to ask her how her mother is doing once in a while or offer to help her sister move.

Similarly, she’s also going to evaluate how you treat strangers. Be aware that every time you go to a restaurant, she’s giving you “the waiter test.” If you’re rude to strangers and service people, it’s going to make her think twice about dating you.

Traps to avoid

As you begin a life of blissful monogamy, don’t assume sailing through the courting phase means racing through the courting phase. It’s about making a smooth transition, not a quick or sudden one. So don’t try to lock down your significant other by saying “I love you” prematurely.

Also, don’t start acting like an old married couple after a few months. Just because you spend every weekend together doesn’t mean you have to spend every weekend doing the same thing.

FINDING THE RIGHT ONE

If you find the right person, it’s easy to sail through the courting phase. It’s true that relationships take work, but it should never seem burdensome. When love starts to feel like a chore, it’s time to abandon ship.  Good luck Guys and Gals.
