iPad 2 (2nd Generation) Release Date and Specs Leaked: Camera Revealed

The iPad 2 is rumored to be released in the market this coming holiday seasons. Traditionally, Apple has its products in the market for around one year before coming up with an update. But this time things are going differently. Apple might have the feeling that it needs to upgrade the iPad without waiting for the 12-month cycle especially at this time where a lot of manufacturers are getting into the tablet market and tries to come up with a tablet that could surpass the quality and features offered by the iPad.

According to a newspaper, the iPad 2 is already on the advanced testing stage and is being assembled by a Taiwanese company named Chimei Innolux, which has won a number of contracts for the iPad2. Some rumors say that the upcoming iPad2 will be sporting a smaller display screen, which is around 7 inches only in order to make it more competitive when it comes to price and compete with the Amazon Kindle in terms of size and price point.

Some reports also revealed that its touchscreen technology will be coming from Cando Corporation. Compal Electronics was also rumored to be the one to assemble the iPad 2. However, neither one of these companies made a confirmation that the rumors are true and that they are currently working on the iPad 2.
The iPad 2 is expected to have the same aluminum back, same bezel, similar weight as well as battery life. In addition to this, the IPS technology featured in the current iPad will also be included in this next generation iPad device.
Basically the new iPad 2 is believed to come up with the following changes:
  • New screen resolution
  • Inclusion of Apple’s FaceTime
  • A new form factor
As mentioned earlier, Apple is targeting the release of the iPad 2 this holiday seasons, which seems to be a very ideal time for its release. Price is also expected to be more competitive since they target more potential customers as well. As Steve Jobs loves to say recently. ”We’re releasing the next iPad today before our competitors have even caught up with the first generation.” What a brilliant plan isn’t it?

Sleek Audios Carbon Fiber Earbuds

The world’s fanciest headphones have officially been introduced to us and you can bet your ass they are made of carbon fiber. Sleek Audio released the SA7’s earbuds in order to refine the older version, the SA6’s. Like the SA6’s, the SA7’s carry the same adjustable bass/treble ports and cords that can be removed. Removable cords? That’s pretty awesome.

Sleek Audio is constantly working to develop new and innovative technology to make certain the product you purchase today is not obsolete within six months. Built from solid aluminum, Sleek Audio used military grade metals to ensure durability. “With a core made from a solid block of milled aluminum. A layer of silicone surrounds the dual ultra-wide band balanced drivers, for added impact resistance. Everything is encased within carbon fiber side panels, and held together with hexagonal titanium screws.”  The buds can withstand 14,000 G’s of forced gravity but my only questions is, can a human?

Also known as a ‘wireless hybrid’, the SA7’s can be used with or without the detachable cables. Using patented Kleer wireless audio technology, the wireless mode eliminates those pesky cords. Sleeks VQ Variable Equalization system is also installed in every pair of earbuds for each individual’s personal frequency preference.

A pair of SA7’s is priced at $400, a little steep considering your average iPod is around $300 or under. But come on, when you throw carbon fiber on anything, it doesn’t just raise the WOW factor; it’s an automatic price raise, we’re used to this.
