Sleek Audios Carbon Fiber Earbuds

The world’s fanciest headphones have officially been introduced to us and you can bet your ass they are made of carbon fiber. Sleek Audio released the SA7’s earbuds in order to refine the older version, the SA6’s. Like the SA6’s, the SA7’s carry the same adjustable bass/treble ports and cords that can be removed. Removable cords? That’s pretty awesome.

Sleek Audio is constantly working to develop new and innovative technology to make certain the product you purchase today is not obsolete within six months. Built from solid aluminum, Sleek Audio used military grade metals to ensure durability. “With a core made from a solid block of milled aluminum. A layer of silicone surrounds the dual ultra-wide band balanced drivers, for added impact resistance. Everything is encased within carbon fiber side panels, and held together with hexagonal titanium screws.”  The buds can withstand 14,000 G’s of forced gravity but my only questions is, can a human?

Also known as a ‘wireless hybrid’, the SA7’s can be used with or without the detachable cables. Using patented Kleer wireless audio technology, the wireless mode eliminates those pesky cords. Sleeks VQ Variable Equalization system is also installed in every pair of earbuds for each individual’s personal frequency preference.

A pair of SA7’s is priced at $400, a little steep considering your average iPod is around $300 or under. But come on, when you throw carbon fiber on anything, it doesn’t just raise the WOW factor; it’s an automatic price raise, we’re used to this.

"That's DOPE"
