Lamborghini Murcielago Yeniceri Edition by Unicate is a BOSS!

Most tuning packs focus on making a car stand out. Whether it’s by adding some sparkle, giving more definition to the frame, or buffing the power, garages and warehouses are good at making a car stand out. But how does one make a Lamborghini stand out? Thisis the question Unicate faced when they set out to customize the Mucielago LP640. Their result, called the Yeniceri, answers the question by turning it on its head: everything about this car, save the 20/21 inch rims, scream…understatedness.
There are no engine upgrades, but new exhausts add around 20 more housepower. New lights on the front grilles, side skirts, and engine bay help to illuminate a uniform, matte black paint job. With the new side skirts, the paint job, and the lowered suspension , the Murcielago Yeniceri edition looks ready to quietly avoid radar and surprise people by reminding them that all Lambos, even the understated ones, pack a pretty serious punch.

Unicate Lamborghini Murcielago Yeniceri Edition:

“Yeniceri Edition” World Record Lamborghini Murcielago from Unicate
Unicate are known for taking their exclusive automobile tuning to extremes and their latest creation is certainly no exception to that rule. It is a 2009 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 and Unicate have named it the “Yeniceri Edition”.

The Yeniceri is named after an elite fighting troop of soldiers from the Ottoman Empire – the best of the best. Their name alone would strike fear into the hearts of anyone that heard it and the thunderous sounds that they made as they approached would send people into panic.

The exhaust system of the “Yeniceri Edition” has the same effect as it gives out an amazing 120db whilst standing still. The exhaust system has been newly developed using the original tailpipes and increases the performance in the region of 20PS.

The ride itself has been lowered by about 1 inch (20mm) which is amazing considering the size of the wheels that it has. The Unicate Wheels “ConcavTen” have a Chrome outer lip whilst the center and Inner lip have a Matt Black finish to match the body work. The wheels on a ride like this are usually 8,5×20 with 2 inch outer lip and 235 tires on the front and 13×20 with a 6 inch outer lip and 335 tires on the rear. Unicate had other plans however and have managed to fit 10,5×20 with a full 4 inch outer lip and 285/25 ZR 20 tires titeson the front and a massive 13,5×21 with a 6 inch outer lip and 375/25 ZR 21 on the rear which surely makes this Lamborghini a world record car.

Cem Altun, CEO and founder of Unicate and the MEC Design Group, said “We wanted to take the wheels to the extremes and wanted to give it a wider wheel on the rear but there aren’t any tires wide enough. It’s great! It drives much better now than when it had the smaller original wheels on, it’s much more sportier now and you have the real feeling of driving a safer sports cars.”

Unicate have incorporated LED Daylight driving lights into the front grill under the bumper as well as adding 5 LED lights underneath each of the side skirts. The engine compartment hasn’t missed out either and now features LED lighting which shows off the beautiful Lamborghini engine.

The interior gets an overhaul as well as Unicate have designed a completely new carbon fibre and leather sports steering wheel. Nothing is spared as the carbon fibre finish also features throughout the interior with the speedometer housing, gear paddles, heating-/ radio housing and the middle console also having the high class finish.

Unicate have finished it off with a music system that has 2 way-system-boxes, amplifier and bass case. Whichever way you look at it, the sound that it produces whether from the stereo or from the newly developed exhaust, it will be enough to send other tuning companies running for cover before they get chance to see just how unique the “Yeniceri Edition” Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 looks. Unicate take some of the finest automobiles available in the world, restyle and upgrade them to make them simply – Unique.

Lamborghini on Strict Carbon Fiber Diet

Just when you thought a Lamborghini couldn’t be more perfect or beautiful, they went and started using carbon fiber on the interior and exterior of certain models, totally out doing themselves. Lamborghini hopes to improve efficiency and power-to-weight ratio of its cars by utilizing the light-weight material. Added bonus? Vehicle emissions could decrease up to 35% within the next six years.

While Lamborghini headquarters is located in the relatively small town of Sant’Agata Bolognese, composite material research is being conducted in Seattle at the University of Washington. Dr. Paolo Feraboli is the director of the school’s Automobili Lamborghini Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory. Growing up, Dr. Feraboli worked at Lamborghini and then moved to the United States to earn a doctorates degree.
As years passed, Dr. Feraboli kept in touch with Lamborghini.
“In 2007 they contacted me, saying, ‘We’d like to really invest in carbon fiber technology, make it our key technology and we’d like to partner up with U.W. and Boeing.”
He continued explaining
“that to improve a car’s power-to-weight ratio, you can either increase horsepower or shed weight. But in reality, increasing the power, once you get to a certain level, becomes very difficult, and the kind of gains that you get by having a lot of horsepower becomes very small. On the other hand, if you drop weight you get exactly the opposite. Lamborghini identified that if you want to drop weight, you have to use carbon fiber.”
If it weren’t for the high cost, up to 2/3’s of a Lamborghini could be composed of carbon fiber. Sounds hot!
Back in March at the Geneva auto show, Lamborghini introduced the limited edition Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera, which translates to superlight in Italian. The carbon fiber components of this car were side mirrors, the rear wing and sections of the underbody. And interior parts including door panels, seat shells and the transmission tunnel. The 5.2-liter V-10 of this Gallardo produced 20.5% less emissions than engines previously used by the company.

Our dream is coming true; carbon fiber is on its way to taking over Lamborghinis (and other exotic cars). Are you as excited as we are? Let us know!

Lamborghini Gallardo by Underground Racing

Underground Racing have been quite busy lately, this time modifying a Lamborghini Gallardo. Ordered by a person named Jonah, the modified Gallardo can produce the impressive 1500 horsepower running on VP C16 racing fuel. It’s worth mentioning that the model loses a lot of the engine’s original power by the time it’s reached the tires – an estimated 25% for this vehicle, which means that the original produced power may go up to 1900 HP! When testing the car, Jonah took the quarter mile on the track in under 10 seconds, coming in at a little over 160 mph. Even though, from his words, it’s been a while since he’s took her to the track, he still managed to bring out the beast in this already respectable car.

Ready to see this beast work?

Lamborghini Estoque Concept Spotted - OMG!!!

The Lamborghini Estoque a four-door concept — which was first spotted at last years Paris Motor Show — was a dumped project because of the credit crunch. However, this March, Lamborghini have confirmed that the four-door concept wasn’t axed but only yet to be decided when it will be produced. Adding to the confusion mill, a new Lamborghini Estoque Concept has been spotted in Germany without license plates. As per the company officials, the four-door would fit in well with their current product line-up, meaning that there is still hope we might see this beauty on the streets. We’d definitely like to get behind the wheel on that elegant beast!

A Lamborghini bed, seriously?

Lamborghini owners take a hint from what’s in the line-up from Lamborghini design studio – a bed? While we hope this bed doesn’t turn out to be a concept like the Lamborghini heels from Tonino Lamborghini, you are free to imagine what hi-tech features Lamborghini will be offering in this bed. Seriously, we have seen some of the finest car-shaped furniture from outsiders and this one actually does not seems to match their standards. Share your thoughts with us on this concept in the comments here.

Lamborghini Reventon Drop Top Revealed Just Ahead Of Frankfurt

In addition to the latest and greatest leaks just ahead of the Frankfurt Autoshow taking place next week is the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster. The roadster follows, for the most part, the exact same design cues as it’s million dollar coupe cousin. The new drop top will take advantage of Lamborghini’s all-wheel drive system to assist it up to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. It is expected that the Reventon Roadster will be allowed to dance at well over 200 mph, thanks to it’s not so modest 650 hp V12 heart. No word on pricing as of yet, but with a limited number tagged for production expect to cough up a pretty penny. More details are expected next week when the autoshow begins. Source

Prindville Prestige Carbon Fiber Lamborghini Murcielago; Yours For A Cool Million

The Lamborghini Reventon isn’t the only Lambo that tops the $1 million price tag…The special edition Murcielago done by Prindiville Prestige comes in over $1 million, with just the interior package alone adding over $300,000 to the cost.

What’s so special about this already special Lamborghini? For starters, that $300k+ interior package adds new leather, hand-finished aluminum accepts, and custom engineered aluminum air vents.

On the outside, the only thing that wasn’t touched was the front lid…everything else, including the roof panel is now re-done in carbon fiber. The updated front bumper adds gills to the side, which look extremely good. The door handles have been shaved off for a completely clean look, and a remote electric door opening mechanism has been installed. The exahust is redesigned using titanium, and things were even restyled under the hood.

The door mirrors have miniature cameras installed into them, which display the video feed inside the car, ensuring that you don’t damage a side sill or curb a wheel when parking. A rear camera is also added to the mix.
