Designed by Chinese-born, German-based product designer Yiran Qian, you’re looking at the “Eye of the Storm” watch. The avant-garde timepiece rests on the wrist in all-black and only displays the time when required. Once the user presses the discreet button on the side, the watch displays two different sized lights, indicating an hour and a minute hand, which in turn illustrate the time in analogue format. Not only is the watch efficient on the display it does have, but of course on those materials it doesn’t, choosing to use the centre of the piece as a space instead of filling it with materials that some people are reportedly sensitive to. The “Eye of the Storm” is still just a concept design, with no production being done as of yet. Stay tuned for further information down the line.
