The anticipation is over! This morning BlackBerry officially announced the new Bold 9700 Smartphone, otherwise known as Bold 2 in some circle. One key feature most will notice is the Trackball, or the lack of it in this case. Designers at BlackBerry decided to replace it with a Trackpad instead, the same ones found on laptop. In comparison with the old trackball, the new setup response faster. Another important addition is the ability to use Wi-Fi Calling with voice calling over Wi-Fi on either IEEE 802.11B/G signals. The same design features from the very first Bold are all apparent in the new model, though further refined to provide customers better user experience. The BlackBerry Bold 9700 3G Smartphone will be available at T-Mobile USA retailers this holiday season for a retail price of &199.99 with a 2-year contract.
