DOPE!!! LAST ONE STANDING // 16th June 2011

In Vertebrata, photographer Marc Da Cunha Lopez has placed skeletons – properties of a biology department of Paris university – in different empty spaces and interiors that he captured during previous travels around the world. 

The feeling that stands out from these pictures is one of waiting. A long expectation, full of hopes and dreams that never came true. Thus, these animals naked to the bones become almost humans.

Living and working in Paris, Marc Da Cunha Lopez is a talented photographer sharing his practice between his clients – among them: Playstation, Hermès, Peugeot, Fiat, Canal Plus or Nike – and personal works. Born in 1979, he first studied Biology – what inspired Vertebrata – and then photography in Gobelins and graduated in 2005.
