Schedoni’s $4,400 suede-lined carbon fiber briefcase - DOPE!

If you are still caught with the ecstasy of the Hermes’ $16,000 carbon fiber briefcase, you need to check out the one from Simone Schedoni. Located in Modena, Italy, Schedoni has been creating premium leather goods for over 125 years. The Italian leather-goods company is best known for its long, successful venture in producing luggage for Ferrari. Schedoni’s Ferrari partnership has led the firm being commissioned by other automakers, including Maserati and Bentley. Schedoni’s products range from briefcases and wallets to belts and wine carriers. While the firm primarily works with leather, they created a $4,400 suede-lined briefcase made of resinated carbon fiber. It’s the same material that’s used for the bodies of F1 race cars. In a Robb Report article, Schedoni has talked about the complexity of working with the carbon fiber material. He said that unlike leather, you can’t see the flaws while you’re working with it.

Schedoni also uses the carbon fiber cases for the $5,800 backgammon sets that include titanium game pieces. It’s an old report, so you will need to confirm if any Schedoni carbon fiber briefcase is still available.
